Shoya Imai

WAKAZE初代杜氏。東京大学農学部卒業後、食品EC企業オイシックス在籍中に稲川琢磨氏と出会いWAKAZEを創業。秋田・新政酒造富山・桝田酒造店新潟・阿部酒造、彼の実家である群馬・聖酒造で蔵人として修行を積む。2019年よりWAKAZEのパリ醸造所“KURA GRAND PARIS”にて醸造を行う。

Shoya Imai is a toji (brewmaster) for a sake brewery WAKAZE. After graduation from the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Tokyo, while working for an E-Commerce company Oisix, he established WAKAZE with Takuma Inagawa. He had trained himself as a brewer for Aramasa Brewery @Akita Pref., Masuizumi @Toyama Pref., Abe Shuzo @Niigata Pref., and his family’s brewery Hijiri Brewery @Gunma Pref. In 2019, he moved to Paris to brew sake at WAKAZE’s KURA GRAND PARIS.
